Hudson Valley Humane

Every year, it's assessed that more than 1 million adoptable pets are euthanized in the U.S. (humanesociety.org), in light of the fact that such a large number of pets come into shelters, while there is a stark number contrast of people willing to look into pet adoption.

The quantity of euthanized furry pals could be considerably decreased, assuming that more individuals adopt pets as opposed to purchasing them. Saving other animals too in the process, by helping the shelter free needed space for other animals in need.

Often, pets heartbreakingly experience cruelty.  Offering care for an animal that went through neglect or cruel abuse is a wonderful way  to help the plight of animal shelters.

While there are so many more reasons to adopt a pet, your local shelter can use your help in a variety of ways to assist in saving the animals in the shelter - and help prepare for the adoption process as well.  Consider donating, volunteering or fulfilling the wishlist of your local shelter.

If you're in Rockland County take a look at http://www.hvhumane.org. Their website details the volunteer work needed as well as a help wish list to continue their important operations. They also have a few cute furry friends for adoption too!
